About this report

The report is structured around our key areas of impact:

Environment - our commitment to and impact on the four key environmental issues of Energy, Packaging, Water, and Sustainable Agriculture and Supply.

Marketing and Nutrition - our commitment to our consumers, customers and suppliers.

Community - our commitment to the communities in which we operate, and our own employees.

This online report is accompanied by a printed report covering the areas of impact that are most important to our stakeholders, as identified through our Materiality assessment.

This year's report covers the period from 1st January to 31st December 2008 - though we do refer to events in 2009 where relevant. It builds on our 2006/7 Corporate Responsibility Report, focusing mainly on Great Britain, but with links to global issues where appropriate.

We plan to update our corporate responsibility reporting on an annual basis.
