Supporting global agreements
In 2008, the UK government established the Climate Change Act - the world's first legally binding framework to tackle climate change. The Act sets targets to reduce the UK's greenhouse gas emissions, including CO2.
The aim is to reduce these emissions by 26% by 2020 and 80% by 2050, from the 1990 baseline. Coca-Cola in the UK fully supports the Climate Change Act.
The world's leaders are meeting in Copenhagen in December 2009 to agree a new global framework to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and tackle climate change. We are committed to supporting this new framework.
