Product quality

We have a global quality management system known as The Coca-Cola Management System Evolution 3 (TCCMS E3).

This sets the standards by which all approved bottlers around the world must comply. The system is consistent with:

  • International management standards for quality (ISO9001)
  • Environmental management (ISO 14001)
  • Occupational health and safety (OHSAS 18001)

All seven CCE manufacturing sites in Great Britain are fully certified to TCCMS E3 as well as having ISO14001 certification.

Total Quality Management System

CCE also has its own Total Quality Management System (TQMS). The Coca-Cola Management System standards are incorporated into the TQMS system.

All of CCE's sites are audited against these standards on an annual basis. The audits are conducted independently by a third party and include checks on real-life products purchased from different retailers.

Total Product Quality Management

In Great Britain, CCE runs a Total Product Quality Management (TPQM) programme for employees and customers to ensure that quality soft drinks are delivered to our consumers. The programme encompasses the quality of our products through every stage of the supply chain - from initial concept to consumption.

The TPQM programme focuses on raising awareness of the five key factors that can have an adverse impact on the quality of our soft drinks:

  • Damage
  • Extremes of temperature
  • Aged product
  • Strong light
  • Liquid contamination

It also promotes best product-handling practice among CCE employees and our customers.
