How we work

Coca-Cola has an enduring mission statement. It describes our purpose and serves as the standard against which we weigh our actions and decisions:

Within Coca-Cola we have a Code of Business Conduct that serves to guide the actions of our employees, consistent with our Company values. The Code helps our people do the right thing and play by the rules wherever we operate around the world. Our values serve as a compass for our actions and dictate how we behave in the world:

Compliance

We integrate sound environmental practices into our daily business operations. We comply with all regulatory requirements in GB and all our manufacturing sites and Hammersmith office have been accredited to ISO14001. Even in the absence of specific regulatory requirements, we operate in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with our environmental standards.

Minimising impact, maximising opportunity

We conduct research and employ new technology to minimise the environmental impact of our operations, equipment, products and packages. We minimise the discharge of waste materials into the environment by employing responsible pollution prevention and control practices.

Accountability

We are accountable for our actions. We conduct audits of environmental performance and practices, document the findings and take necessary improvement actions. We are committed to continuously improving our environmental performance and have publicly committed to specific targets for improvement by 2020.

Informing stakeholders

We establish mechanisms to communicate effectively with employees, consumers, governments, shareowners and other stakeholders on environmental performance, including environmental reporting.

Living positively

At Coca-Cola, we have made a global commitment. We must make a positive difference by re-evaluating the way we work and live.

Sustainability has to be part of everything we do. People have to be part of everything we do. Not just today, but tomorrow and in the future.

Our goal is simple. We will try and give back as much as we take - or, where possible, more than we take. This is what we call Live Positively.
