Our People
Corruption, anti-competitive behaviour and compliance
Both Coca-Cola Great Britain and Coca-Cola Enterprises have a comprehensive Code of Business Conduct which covers a range of issues related to the behaviour and conduct of employees.
This code outlines our standpoint on such issues as:
- Conflicts of interest
- Working with government, customers and suppliers
- Financial records
- Use of Company assets
- Protection of information
- Bribery and corruption
Implementing the Code
All employees are given a copy of this Code on joining either company, and are made aware of the process for reporting breaches on an anonymous, confidential basis. CCGB employees are trained on this legislation as part of their 90 day induction programme, and all CCE employees are given a handbook to the Code of Business Conduct. The legal departments at both CCGB and CCE are responsible for implementing and monitoring this Code.
Compliance with Competition Law
We compete solely on the merits of our products and services and will not get involved in any form of unlawful competition. We have given formal undertakings to UK and European competition law authorities that relate to a variety of trading practices and govern the way we do business.
Our legal department has prepared detailed guidance on all aspects of competition law. This includes a pocket guide on competition law and a computer-based training tool. Also, all employees in commercial roles, or those who deal with customers, receive training in competition law.
